Paris - The Rise of Technofascism
Jardin des Tuileries
Public gatherings
Public gatherings where people come together to debate the future, organise and take action. Every month a new focus, in every city.
How it works
An AI-free zone is not a rejection of technology. It is a space where people deliberate face to face, without algorithms deciding what we hear or who gets heard, and leave with a shared decision about what to do next.
01
Free and open to all.
02
A short provocation on the future we want or refuse.
03
Everyone can speak. Disagreement is welcome.
04
Every zone ends with something to do next.

Schedule
Technofascism is what happens when the owners of the most powerful technologies join forces with governments that no longer respect democracy. Surveillance, the algorithmic control of what we see and read, and automated decisions over work, welfare and borders become tools to discipline citizens and keep the few in power. It does not need tanks in the streets, because it runs through the systems we use every day. This month we ask how it is already taking shape, and what we can do to stop it.

Host
We organise the first zones centrally and work with local hosts. We help with a speaker, a format and the materials.
